BIDU-SW's Apollo Go Approved for Cross-district Autonomous Vehicle Trial in Kai Tak/ Kowloon Bay

The Transport Department of Hong Kong (TD) announced approval in accordance with the Road Traffic (Autonomous Vehicles) Regulation for BIDU-SW (09888.HK)(BIDU.US)'s Apollo Go to conduct cross-district autonomous vehicle (AV) trial in designated areas of Kai Tak Development Area and Kowloon Bay (Kowloon East). This follows the expansion of trial areas in April 2025, including small-scale passenger-carrying trials on Airport Island, road tests in Tung Chung in June, and entry into the Southern District of Hong Kong Island in August, marking Apollo Go's fourth expansion of trial scope in Hong Kong. Apollo Go said that it is actively responding to Hong Kong's policies, promoting the safe and orderly trial and development of AVs in Hong Kong. It is expected that the trials in Hong Kong will provide significant reference for the promotion of its autonomous driving technology in global right-hand drive markets.
