TENCENT (00700.HK) is considering raising approximately RMB8 billion (USD1.1 billion) through its first bond issuance in four years, Bloomberg reported, citing sources.

Based on current investor feedback, the yield on Tencent's three types of CNH bonds may tighten by about 40-50 bps, according to informed sources.

If realized, the yield on Tencent's five-year bonds will be approximately 2.1-2.2%, slightly below the yields on bonds with similar tenors held by traders of peer companies.

According to Bloomberg data, the yields on CNH bonds with comparable tenors of BABA-W (09988.HK) and BIDU-SW (09888.HK) ranged from 2.25% to 2.3% on Tuesday (16th).
